Sunday Evening in Stratford

What a beautiful Sunday evening we had in Stratford. The performance stage in Upper Queens Park is one of the best stages we have performed on yet, and what an audience! They were very appreciative, giving us a standing ovation at the end of our performance.

We opened with a mixed selection which included a military march, folk, and a medley of crooner tunes a la Michael Buble.

Linda Street sang "Summertime", accompanied by Louise Dockstader on keyboard and Al Mullin on fluglehorn. The combination of Linda's musical interpretation, Louise's keyboard skills, and Al Mullin's soulful fluglehorn was a hit with the crowd.

Later in the evening, Al Mullin again wowed the audience with his fluglehorn solo piece Concierto Aranjuez.

Not to be outdone, Hugh McGregor and Nancy Ross picked up their horns for a jazzy trombone duet of "Swing Low Sweet Chariot"
All in all, it was a fantastic evening which came to a close all too soon. This is one venue I hope we will be able to perform at next year, and for many years to come.
