It was a perfect summer evening in Kincardine Wednesday, as we performed at Dunsmoor Park. As you can see, there was a beautiful sunset to watch as the Goderich Laketown Band performed on stage. The above picture was taken directly behind the stage.
Hugh McGregor and Katie Dockstader directed the band as it performed a variety of music ranging from light jazz to military with a little Michael Bublé thrown in. Linda Street, accompanied by Louise Dockstader on keyboard and Al Mullin on flugel horn, wowed the audience with her version of Summertime and Over the Rainbow . Al also performed a flugel horn rendition of the soundtrack from the movie Brassed Off that held the audience spell bound. Not to be outdone, Hugh McGregor and Nancy Ross performed a jazz trombone duet of "Swing Low Sweet Chariot".
The combination of beautiful music and Lake Huron's famous sunsets created a very memorable evening
